Re-use policy invoked for and
raspadmin on Tuesday 15 September 2020 - 11:21:07 |
After a recent reminder on RASP data reuse, it has been found that a particular site (from and has been scraping images and spot data from the free RASP UK site.

When investigated, whilst there was a correct citation, the plots and spot locations were being pulled in large quantities and stored locally. These were to support a third party weather forecast service (not abiding to the reuse policy amongst other aspects).

We are of course a flying community and learning about the weather is important for any pilot.

Hence, build and implementation advice has been given to permit the third party site to build their own RASP setup to support their specific community and website/business.

At the time of publishing, the weather forecast pages for that site are unavailable for critical updates, but it should be up as and when the admin can advise they are operational again.
